The Town Council of Arandis has confirmed the recent appointment of Mr. Stanley Norris as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 01 March 2019.
Mr. Norris, a former pupil of Narraville Primary School, and SSS De Duine High School in Narraville Walvis Bay, holds a (BBA) Degree from Southern Business School, Majoring in Management within the Public Sector, a Post Graduate qualification, the Management Development Programme (MDP) from the University of Witwatersrand and Risk Management Certification within the Public Sector from the Institute of Business Management of Southern Africa Mr. Norris has also been accepted by the University of Witwatersrand to pursue his Masters Degree in Strategic Engineering.
Mr. Norris has more than 16-years’ experience within the public sector, he formed part of the Erongo Red Management team for 10 years serving within the Supply Business Unit, his portfolio included: Customer Services, Billing and Prepaid Electricity Services for the town of Walvis Bay. He was also part of the initial compilation of the Policies and Procedure; formation of the Credit Control Division and training of the staff complement for Erongo Red within the mentioned Unit. Mr Norris also has experience within the Business Development arena, which he plans to apply in his new position. His leadership roles also included the former Chairperson of the Income group BCX E-Venus Financial System where the members included the Erongo Red, City of Windhoek and Swakopmund Municipality.
At the Arandis Town Council, Mr. Norris would like to invest the skills, and expertise he has harvested over the years to enhance the Council and support various initiatives geared at ensuring that the Council continuously provides the highest quality of service offerings to its valued stakeholders. He envisions employing his Business Development experience to enhance the Local Economic Development strategy for the Arandis Town Council.
In his Social responsibilities, he served as the Chairperson for the Duneside Private High School. He currently serves as a Minister and a District Youth leader in the New Apostolic Church Narraville congregation, and Walvis Bay District.
